The douche bag lead singer from that band I hate and have never liked and don’t understand why other people like apparantly tried to get the crowd to boo Oasis at the iTunes festival yesterday…

Bloc Party instigated a chorus of boos for Oasis and TV presenter Fearne Cotton during their set at the iTunes Live festival in London’s Roundhouse last night (July 21).

The London-based outfit, who have been criticised by the Manchester band in the past, took aim at Oasis, who are set to follow them at the same venue tonight (22).

Frontman Kele Okereke triggered the booing after joking about Fearne Cotton, who had been doing TV links earlier in the gig, but had been heckled herself for mentioning the Gallagher’s band.

“What was it that Fearne Cotton said?” Okereke mockingly asked the crowd. “Are we ‘looking forward to the legendary Oasis?’”

I’ve got a lot of time for footballers – but only because 90% of them are thick as pig sh** and you can take the piss out of them.

And then there was this wonderful quote from the tour diary:
China! Fuck me, them communists have got long memories, eh? I can’t even remember doing the offending gig 12 years ago? Come on, let it go.

I told you he wouldn’t even remember being there… It was 1997 people, come on…

I’ve said it a million times, but I’ll say it once more, I think that Noel kicks ass. As a guitarist, a songwriter and a singer but, Oasis is a band and Liam is its main singer. I want to hear some good shit from Liam again. We got one good track, maybe two, from him off of Dig Out Your Soul, and he wrote one of them.

This new single sounds like its going to be good, but I would love to hear Liam sing some classic shit again and a single and b-side both from Noel just aren’t doing it for me right now.

I want to hear something like this again:
